Renowned Finnish Brand Marimekko Turns 70

I first discovered Marimekko's collection in 2013, when I made my first visit to the Textile Museum in Toronto. Browsing from one room to another, inhaling a splash of bold prints and colors, which immediately placed a smile on my face. Since my visit I was on mission to learn more of her clothing designs and philosophy. Marimekko, was founded by Armi and Viljo Ratia in 1951, falls in 2021. You can purchase her clothing and household items from Canadian brand Simons. Keep on the lookout for her new clothing pieces at Uniqlo in the next few months.

Over the years, Marimekko has made its mark with its unique artistic vision in both ready-to-wear and interior decor.
